This is a Catholic gathering for immigrant women and their families to come together in a time of grief, anger, and uncertainty and to leave feeling lighter, held, and hopeful.

Together, we will make space for anger, grief, and hope. We will give ourselves permission to be angry at the people and systems causing harm, while remembering that we do not have to become hardened by the fight. We can be angry and still be loving. We can confront injustice and still choose generosity, dignity, and humanity.

Rooted in Catholic faith, the gathering will draw on prayer, reflection, spiritual readings, and the tradition of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores, honoring the women/mothers who have carried unimaginable grief while continuing to love, protect, and care for their families.

This is a space to desahogarnos, to release what we have been carrying, and to begin healing together. We will name our grief, honor our anger, remind one another of our power, and end by blessing immigrant families and renewing our commitment to one another.

Hosted by The Dorothea Project and Mother Forward.
